I just finished my MCA with 8.67 cgpa from anna university covai.. i am willing to do phd in iit madras could u please drive me to attain my dream...
am i eligible..? what should i doo...? Can someone please let me know the information on the same?

You have completed MCA degree with 8.67 CGPA marks so you are eligible for Ph.D course in Computer Science in IIT Madras but you should qualify in GATE or UGC NET exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then you are eligible for GATE exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam. You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Merely MCA with good marks will not help you to get admission in IIT for your PH.D programme. You need to qualify exams like GATE/NET/SET/JRF.
Once you have any one of these scores then you will surely have good chance of admission because competition is very high for limited number of intakes.
