can I opt. Indian culture or
archeology subject in ugc net????

Archaeology and Indian Culture is totally a different subject from History and you have to opt for the subject, that you have studied in your Master's degree. Hence, the best subject for you will be History and you must opt for this subject only because there is no other subject according to your qualification.

Also, make sure that you have at least 55% marks in your Master's degree for becoming eligible for UGC NET. Those who belong to reserved category can avail 5% relaxation in marks.

It will be easier for you to crack History subject. If you opt for Archaeology or Indian Culture, then it will be very difficult for you to qualify because you haven't studied specifically for these subjects in Graduation and Post Graduation.

I have post graduation degree in ancient Indian history and archaeology. Can i give net exam in Indian culture?

As per the recent information, the UGC NET Exam will be organised in 84 subjects.
As you have completed your masters’ in History.
You must appear in UGC NET Exam for History subject only.
To appear in this examination, you must have to fill the application form as per the guidelines of CBSE.

I'm afraid your diploma will not count in the UGC-NET exam as their eligibility takes into consideration only the master's degree or equivalent.
