Can I do PhD in IGNOU if completed MCA? Is PhD program of IGNOU has any value?


Hello Sir,
I really want to do PhD but I am working.
I have completed my MCA and working now.
Please tell me I can do PhD in IGNOU? Is
PhD has any value in IGNOU?

You have completed MCA degree so you are eligible for Ph.D course in IGNOU. Yes, Ph.D degree from IGNOU is valid.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree in computer science or its equivalent from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Your age should be below 28 years for JRF post.
