Can I do PhD in Microbiology in NIT through GATE scorecard being a postgraduate?


Dear Friends,
I have completed my M.Sc.in Microbiology. I want to know with GATE scorecard instead of doing M.Tech, can I go for PhD? Can I do PhD in Microbiology in NIT?

If NIT is offering Ph.D in Microbiology then surely you can use your GATE score to apply for admission. GATE qualified candidates are considered for Ph.D interview in top institutes like NITs and IITs.

Just apply when notification is out on a prescribed format and try to be well prepared for the interview stage because merit for admission will depend on the marks in interview.
