Eligibility to apply in CSIR-NET(Biological Sciences) for M.Sc(Sericulture) student? Whether CSIR-NET is equivalent to ICAR-NET?

I am perauing MSc degree in sericulture , am I eligible for CSIR NET exam in Biological science or not ... plz answer me as soon as possible .. and would this b equivalent to ICAR NET or not..?? |

Yes surely you can apply for CSIR NET but make sure that you have got at least 55% marks in your M.Sc degree. If you belong to reserved category then you need only 50% marks.
ICAR NET is only for Junior Research Fellowships in Agricultural Sciences whereas CSIR NET is for both Lectureship and JRF. For ICAR NET there is an upper age limit of 28 years. For CSIR NET lectureship there is no age limit but if you are applying for JRF then upper age limit is 28 years. CSIR NET score is widely accepted for JRF and Lectureship. In fact CSIR NET is a better options than ICAR NET because it will also allow you to become eligible for lecturer post in Government colleges. In November,1995 UGC conducted National Eligible Test on Sericulture subject? Is there any evidence is there?

My bachelor degree in agriculture science and my master degree in life science genetics me hai i am eligible for CSIR NET please help
