Eligibility to pursue PhD(Sanskrit) for a candidate with 56% in MA?

Respected Sir/Madam, I have completed my MA with Sanskrit and secured 56% marks in it. I want to do PhD now with the same specialization. So, with this percentage of marks, I will be eligible to do PhD in Sanskrit?

Applicants who have passed MA Sanskrit with 56% marks are eligible to study PhD (Sanskrit) in various colleges or universities in India.

=> PhD (Sanskrit) program is available in regular and part time modes in various universities. Candidates have to discuss about their research proposal at the time of interview. They have to first clear the entrance test to qualify for the interview.

Being a MA (Sanskrit) post graduate with 56%, you are definitely eligible to study PhD(Sanskrit). Minimum qualification required to pursue PhD(Sanskrit) is that candidates must have obtained a Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from any recognized university. Candidates can get admission in PhD(Sanskrit) in any university after qualifying entrance exam and personal interview conducted by the university.
