Eligibility to study PhD(Sociology) in Tripura University?


Hello everyone, I am interested to do PhD program in Tripura University in the specialization of Sociology. So, I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for doing this PhD program in this university. Please tell me asap.

You must hold a Master Degree in the relevant subjects or allied subjects with at least 55% mark (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) from any recognized University/Institute.

You must have qualified Research Eligibility Test (RET) conducted by Tripura university.

Candidates, who have qualified UGC/CSIR (JRF)/SET/NET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder/M.Phil examination passed are also eligible to study PhD(Sociology) in Tripura University. Such candidates are excused from entrance test.

Eligibility to study PhD(Sociology) in Tripura University are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed their Master’s from a recognized university in that particular specialization.
Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate in Master’s.
There is procedure of 5% relaxation to OBC/SC/ST candidates.
