How to prepare for JRF exam being a PG History student? Will I have to do M.Phil and then PhD?


Hello sir, I am studying PG in History from Osmania University and want to do PhD. Please tell me how to prepare for JRF exam? Will I have to do M.Phil and then PhD?

There is no need to pursue M.Phil, if you want to pursue Ph.D. Direct admission in Ph.D is possible on merit through entrance exam and interview.

If you have a good academic record, then you should try for Ph.D first and if not able to secure a seat, then M.Phil will the other option.
