Job prospects and career growth through PhD Degree for 12th Science student?
Hello, I just gave class 12th Board exams with Science stream. I took PCMB and English. I want to make a career in Biology and Life Sciences fields and to get a PhD Degree. Is there any high paying jobs for PhD holders because the highest salary I saw online was Rs. 30,000. I clearly do not see any point in studying for 10th-12th more years only to be paid less. Is doing a PhD in India worthless? Should I drop the idea? If yes, then why and if no, please tell me about job prospects and job growth in the future and guide me. Thank you!

Not at all. A recent report indicates that a PhD holder in India earns a average of 5 lakh rupees annually.
Jobs you can get after doing PhD : >> Research Associate >> Junior Research Fellow >> Senior Research Fellow >> College Professor >> Lecturer etc. Professors earn 80000 rs per month at starting of their job. Research Associate , JRF and SRF earn approximately 30000 to 50000 rs per month depends on the university and research topic. |
