hello
i am somnath oraon, ma in bengali from cu 48.75%
also complete b.ed from wbsu 64.40%.
i am st candidate. i will admitted for phd in bengali?

You are not eligible for UGC NET exam because your masters degree marks is not above 55%.

Candidates who have done M.A degree in Bengali are eligible for Ph.D through UGC NET exam. But you should fulfill below given criteria.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its hold 50% and above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.
