I have passed Bcom, 1st class, Mcom53%, Bed distinction i want to know the qualification and the maximum age limit for being professor.

> Educational qualification:-
General categories - Masters degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
Sc/St/Transgender - masters degree with a minimum of 50% marks

> Age limit;-
there are no age limit criteria set to be eligible to apply for the profile of assistant professor. UGC has not set any age limit for lecturer ship post.

Qualification and maximum age limit to become a Professor is given below.

You must have completed Master degree in relevant subjects with minimum aggregate of 55% or above.

You must have valid CSIR/ NET score.

There is no age restriction to apply for the position of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor.

If you have valid NET/ CSIR or equivalent exam score than you can apply for the post of assistant professor, associate professor and professor in any reputed colleges.

Your final selection will be done through personal interview.

The candidate must have passed a graduation/ postgraduation level degree in any stream from a recognized institute. The candidates can also go for a PhD degree in the preferred stream to avail a career path in Research-based institutions.
There are no age limit criteria set to be eligible to apply for the profile of Assistant professor.

Qualification required to become Professor are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed Post Graduation from a recognized university.
Candidate must have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate (For General) and 50% marks for others.

There is no any upper age limit criteria set by the UGC.

Qualification and maximum age limit to become a Professor:-

Qualification:-
The candidate must have passed a graduation/post graduation level degree in any stream with at least 55% marks from a recognised University. The candidate can also go for PhD degree in the preferred stream to level a career path in a research based institutions.

Age limit:-
The age limit for professor will be around 35 to 50 years. This age limit varies based on the state and University. Few universities keep the upper is limit as 35 years.

Qualification to become a Assistant Professor -
The minimum qualification required to become a Assistant Professor is NET/SLET/SET qualification after completing their Master's degree with at least 55% aggregate or, have been awarded with Ph.D degree inaccordance with the UGC Regulations.

Age limit -
There is no such age limit required to become a Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Senior Professor.
