Hello Sir, I would like to know about PhD course. What is all about this course? As I am now studying in BSc 1st year and I have got Physics Honours so in future if I want to do PhD in Physics in Jadavpur University then can I eligible? What qualification is necessary for PhD course?

Candidates who have obtained a Master’s Degree of at least two years duration in the relevant discipline or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible to study the PhD Physics in Jadavpur University. Candidates have to appear for the Written Entrance Test (WRET) and Interview / Viva Voce for the admission to study PhD Physics in Jadavpur University. Candidates who have qualified NET/SET/GATE/ MPhil (of two year duration) / Teacher Fellowship shall be exempted from appearing in the Written Entrance Test.
