SET exam eligibility and process
I have completed MSc in Microbiology with 53.4% and I am from open category. So am I eligible to apply for the SET exam and what Subject should be chosen for a PG in Microbiology subject student in SET exam.

To be eligible for the SET exam 2023, you must have score 50% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam if you belong to the general category while it is 45% for SC/ST category. There is no upper age limit to apply for the SET Entrance Exam 2023. However, your minimum age should be above 17 years to apply for the exam.

The eligibility criteria for SET exam is given below:-
Educational Qualification:- Candidates must have a Master's degree or its equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Age Limit:- There is no upper age limit for SET. Nationality:- Candidates must be a citizen of India or a person of Indian origin who has been awarded a degree by a foreign university. Language Proficiency:- Candidates must have a working knowledge of English. Candidates who are appearing for their Master's degree final examination are also eligible to appear for SET. The SET is conducted once a year, in December. The application process for SET is usually conducted online. The candidate must submit the application form along with the required documents, such as the Master's degree certificate, the mark sheets, and the proof of identity and address. The results of SET are usually announced within two months of the exam. The SET is an important exam for candidates who want to pursue a career in teaching. The SET is a prerequisite for applying for the Assistant Professor posts in state universities and colleges. |
