°°° To become a space scientist in ISRO, you have to complete your 10 + 2 level of Secondary Education with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subject and after completion of 10 + 2 you must go on to pursue engineering in your higher studies.
You can pursue any of the following specialisation in BTech/BE - mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science engineering, engineering physics, radio engineering and other related fields.

After completion of degree you must appear for the ISRO centralised recruitment board exam and the minimum eligibility required to appear in this exam is Bachelor of Technology with minimum 65% marks of 6.8 CGPA.
Students have to clear the exam and then they will be asked to appear for round of written test and interview conducted by ISRO.

It is a very good idea to start early to prepare for a future career. Study the physical sciences stream. Later, join for an engineering course, preferably Mechanical Engineering. (Engineers in many other branches are also required for ISRO, but largest number will be in the Mechanical Engineering stream).

To make a career at NASA or ISRO you can start early after class 10th. In 10+2 you should choose PCM(Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and thereafter choose BE/BTech in disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, and Computer Science with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA from a recognized university. A PhD degree in related specializations will be an added advantage with research work.

The courses which you can choose after your class 12th are given below which will help you in making your career in NASA or ISRO.

--> BTech in Aerospace Engineering
--> BTech in Avionics Engineering
--> BTech plus MS/MTech in Engineering
--> Physics plus MS in Solid State Physics, Astronomy, Earth System Science/MTech in Optical Engineering
--> MTech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Science
