Is there any minimum or maximum age limit for pursuing PhD in Botany?

I have completed my M.Sc Botany course and I want to do PhD in Botany. Can I do it now? My age is 37. If at all I have a chance to do PhD should I do it on regular basis or I have a preference to do external?

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized University are eligible for Ph.D course. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.

There is no limitation of age in pursuing the PhD in Botany. Hence, being 37 years old, you are eligible to apply for the admission in PhD in Botany.
Please note that the upper age limit is available for JRF which is 28 years.
