There is no much difference between the courses. However, there is limit bit difference in Duration and Syllabus of the courses. Both the M.Sc and M.Sc Hons have the same career option. So, you can select any one of the course based on your Interest.

Preference is given to Honours for Teaching job?

No, such preference will be given to M.Sc Hons students. However, those candidates who have two years of Teaching experience can get first preference at the time of Interview. You need to Complete B.Ed along with Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in order to Teacher job in Government High Schools.

However, I suggest you to select M.Sc Honours, which is always 100% better than general course in all respect especially Teaching.
