I had completed my M.Phil in Library and Information Science in 2008. Sir, am I eligible for the post of librarian . Because UGC had given relaxation to all the M. Phil holders whose have completed before 10 July 2009 in the 472th meeting.Please tell me whether I am eligible or not

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR LIBRARIAN POSTS:

* Aspirant must have master's degree in library science/ information science/ documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in the regulations.

* Candidate must have at least 13 years experience as deputy librarian in a university library or at least 18 years experience in a college library.

* Desirable: A M.Phil/ Ph.D degree in library science/ information science/ documentations/ achieves and manu script keeping.
