Hello I am a MCA (distance) post graduate. Am i eligible to go for as an Specialist officer(IT) in any of the India's reputed bank.

Eligibility:

1. The candidates must be between the age of 20 years and 30 years as of 1st November 2021.

2. The educational qualification required for IT Officer is 4-year UG degree or PG Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics and Telecommunication.

3. There is age relaxation for candidates who belong to certain categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and Ex-Servicemen.

Yes. After completing an MCA degree through a distance education program, candidates are eligible to apply for an IT officer post in a bank. Because distance education is accepted for the banking exam.

Yes. Candidates are qualified to apply for an IT officer position at a bank after earning an MCA through a distance education program. since the banking exam accepts distance learning.

The eligibility regarding distance education is not mentioned in the official notification. I don't think if they will consider a candidate from distance education ineligible. The eligibility criteria for IT officer scale 1 are 4 year Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation.
