I am a student of BSc Agronomy. After my BSc, I want to do MSc in Agriculture. Is it the right option for me? I came to know that Agriculture has more scope than Agronomy. So please tell me which MSc has more?

Scope of studying MSc Agriculture-

Lots of government as well as private job opportunities are present in front of graduates. Talking about government jobs, state Agriculture Department recruits graduates to fill up officer level posts. Colleges also hires MSc Folks to work as lecturers.
Government banks also highest them to fill up officer level posts.

Talking about private sector jobs, graduates may find jobs as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery Industries, agriculture product marketing firms, food processing farms. 1 may also work as a lecturer in private colleges and starting salary is generally between 2.5 to 500000 rupees per year.


Scope of Msc Agronomy-

Students can opt for jobs as Agronomists, agricultural scientists, crop production specialist, crop scientist, lab technician, assistant professor, Pharma associate, Farm manager etc.


Both field have a great scope and totally depends upon your interest in which stream you are more interested.

Scope of studying MSc( Agronomy):-

After successfully completing MSc in Agronomy students can opt for jobs as
Agronomists
Agriculture Scientist
Crop Production Specialist
Crop Scientist
Lab Technician
Assistant Professor
Research Fellow
Farm Associate
Farm Manager, etc.
Students can also opt for PhD in Agronomy and pursue research.
