I got 69.88% in b.tech(IT) 2nd sem.

Plz tell me on which basis have we join IBM ? How to get selected for a job in IBM?

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FRESHERS IN IBM:

-> Candidate should have above 60% in 10th, 12th and in B.E/B.Tech.

-> Candidate should not have backlogs.

-> Candidate should have good technical and communications skills.

Usually IBM use to conduct on-campus and off-campus drives which you will be eligible when you come to your final year. Make sure you get the information from your campus placement officer and attend it without fail.

SELECTION PROCESS:

-> Aptitude Test.

-> Technical Interview.

-> Personal Interview.

So, to get selected for the job you need to make sure that you clear all the above rounds. As you are just started your college and going to second year. It's the best time to start for the aptitudes side by side. Just buy the R.S.Agarwal book and start preparing for the topics given from them and make sure when you come to final year you will good with the aptitude topics.

Being good in aptitude is not possible to practice in a day. It's a continuous process so start the preparation right away and make sure you do it everyday whenever you find time.

To clear technical interview you need to make sure that you will be good with the basics in your B.E/B.Tech core subjects which are Java, C, C++, Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems etc.. make sure you cover all the basics subjects topics and also be strong in any one of the programming languages from Java, C, C++ that you study in your course!

Clearing personal interview needs just you to be confident and answer questions clearly. If you do that then you can clear the final round in no time.
