hello sir i m deepanshu jairath student of 12th class(science group).i have to confirm that the my height is 5.5inch can i join the merchant navy if "yes" then plz send me the fee structure ,cources with income&the best collage of merchant navy's detail.......thanks

Height is not a factor in Merchant Navy, and 5.5 is a good height. Only you should be physically fit in all respect.

The various requirements for Merchant Navy course are:-

Educational qualification:-
12th or equivalent Physics and Maths subjects, from any recognised board.

Physically standard:-
Must be physically fit in all respects. Eyesight must be 6/ 6 in both eyes with no collar blindness or other type of eye disorder.

1. Any kind of weak constitution by way of imperfect muscles or malnutrition is a sign of rejection in the medicals of the merchant navy.

2. The minimum height requirement in males is 157cm, while in females, the minimum height criterion is 145cm.

There should be no evidence of weak constitution by way of imperfect development of muscles or serious malformation. Weight below 42 kg and height below 150 cm will be rejected. The chest should be well developed with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cm.
