Annamalai University is one of the renowned and well known universities of the county. Situated in Tamil Nadu, the university was established in the year 1929, and has 50 academic departments presently. There are numerous Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma courses offered by the University, both Full-time and Distance, along with Part Time courses for working executives. B.A. in English has a paper on Shakespeare in the 3rd year of the course. The paper is conducted in three hours duration, and has a total of 100 marks to be scored. Out of ten questions each carrying 20 marks, the students have a choice to answer any five from it. A play of Shakespeare is taught in the course, and questions are asked on the meaning and comprehension of the various aspects of the play.
