Organic Production System is the sustainable way of agriculture that benefits the environment and human beings equally by preservation of resource materials. Thus the subject deals with the main principles of organic production that are studied at different levels namely geographical structure, scale of production, production materials, material reuse, capital equipment and response capabilities. It takes into account soil management techniques that are especially important for crop growth, weed management for complete control over unwanted elements and genetic modification to enhance quality of the food produced. These are the methods that are demonstrated orally in the classes. The practices of organic food production are lectured in the theory classes that include reliance on biological control, biodiversity, livestock operations, renewable resources and environmental conservation that work together towards restoration of ecological balance. It also includes economic study of the practices by analysing the profitability and sustainability of the farming techniques and overall employment impact.
