Karunya University ECE- Solid State Circuits-II Papers contain a number of questions aimed at testing and challenging a student of the subject. Topics from which questions are to be expected include definitions of clamping theorem, the role of LTP in Schmitt Trigger, the differences between a differentiator and an integrator and the advantages and disadvantages of both, the difference between a fixed and self bias circuit, the nature and function of a VCO and so on. Longer and more conceptual questions are based on topics like response and mechanism of High pass filters, the design of a monostable circuit and the precautions that have to be taken in building one, the operation of a Bootstrap Time base generator, working of transistor television sweep, circuit with the necessary diagrams, triggering circuits and sampling gates, the mechanism of an emitter couples astable circuit and so on.
