The topics taught in this course are salient features of all about the new economic policies of the country and their effect on state power to regulate the economic enterprises, role of the public sector undertakings and small scale industries, the different ways in which the new industrial policy ensure fairer competition and protection of the consumer, laws and policies relating to the sick industries, the different transformations in licensing regulations in the times of privatization, effect of deregulation process of necessary commodities on the welfare of the poorer people, , basic principles in the law and policy that relates to balancing protection of environmental and economic development, changes brought in licensing regulations, the different and varied stages of resolution in industrial policy of India, etc.
