Micro economics paper-1 has to be attempted by all the students who are pursuing M.A in economics at Kuvempu University during the first year of the course. The questions in the paper are printed in both English and Urdu to facilitate readability for the students.

Paper pattern

The question paper consists of sections A, B and C.  Section A consists of a question that is sub divided into further sub questions. From these questions, the candidates have to attempt any two questions. Section A contains a total of four questions.
Section B consists of six question out of which three have to be attempted by the candidates. Section C consists of 8 questions out of which four has to be answered.

Distribution of marks

Two questions that have to be attempted from Section A carry 15 marks each. Section A is for a total of 30 marks. Three questions have to be answered from Section B which carries 10 marks each. This section is also for a total of 30 marks. From Section C, the candidates have to attempt five questions each of four marks. The total mark of this section is 20. The whole paper is for a total of 80 marks.

Duration of the paper

The candidates are allowed 3 hours for the completion of the paper. The candidates will be provided 15 minutes for reading the question paper.

Preparation

First the candidates need to understand the theory concepts properly. Then they need to take a look at the question papers of the previous exams and also model question papers. Practicing these questions will enable the students to get an insight into the pattern of the question paper and will be able to get through the exam with ease.
