Vasthu Sastra is an important paper if you want to delve into the ways of construction that ensures that an infrastructure is in alignment with the elements in order to maintain peace and harmony in the lives of the people who are residents or in some ways part of the infrastructures. The paper in an academic course of study ensures that the student is aware of some of the basic concepts of vastu which helps them in further calculations, deductions and derivations required in the construction of different buildings. Some of the topics in this course of study are Soil testing, making of Sanku, sixteen forms of sites, differences in vastu purusha, method of Ayadi Sadhana, defects in home building, benefits of vast shastra, methods of Diksadhana, various shapes off staircase construction, methods for finding salyas, importance of nama Nakshathra, methods of orientation, methods of obtaining total surface area. The paper contains 12 questions in total with 2 sections each of 6 questions. First section has very long questions with 15 marks weightage and second section has long questions with 10 marks weightage. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
