All Sahyabama University papers are of 80 marks and Water Resource Engineering paper is no exception. These 80 marks are divided in the ratio of 1:3 between the two parts i.e. 20 marks for part one and 60 marks for part two. Part one has all short questions and part two has all long questions. Each question has two parts and one has to answer any one part. Some of the topics in the question paper are National Water Policy, precipitation, Run-off, evapo-transpiration, Consumptive use, single and multiple reservoirs, design flood, irrigation, crop period, base period, digital interpretation and remote sensing. Some of the other topics that are found are Surface and Groundwater resources, water resource development, hydrometerological study, SCS curve, Surface runoff estimation, hydrograph method, Hargreaves class A pan evaporation method, watershed management, reservoir sediment control, drought assessment, methods of flood control, duty, delta, remote sensing applications, crops and seasons.
