University of Kashmir takes Entrance exams for giving admission into different M.Sc courses offered by the University. Only those students who qualify this entrance exam are eligible to get admission and pursue their study. Different papers are set for different courses and candidates have to apply for the same at the time of filling the form for the entrance exam. This entrance exam is very similar to other exams where you find questions with multiple answers and your task is to find the most appropriate one. Geography and Regional Development paper has questions based on geographical aspects of a particular region. The paper has 60 such questions. University sets cut-off marks based on the question paper. Candidates who cross that cut-off mark are given admission and that too based on the number of seats available for that particular course. Previous year’s question papers are really a bon as you not only get to know the paper pattern but also the areas where more stress is given and you can plan your study accordingly.
