It includes Machiavelli’s concepts (Power, state, and religion), John Locke’s views on limited government and natural rights, democracy, Rousseau’s concepts (general will), Karl Marx dialectical theory, proletariat revolution, Thomas Hobbe (absolute and powerful state), self-government, colonialism (B.G. Tilak, M.K Gandhi), B.R Ambedkar (caste system and social transformation, contribution towards the upliftment of dalits), Rawl’s theory (just society), Social transformation (M.N. Roy), J.S Mill (Individual liberty), Hegal’s application of dialectical theory, Aristotle’s views (causes of revolution, government classification), Rawls theory of injustice etc.,

Paper Pattern: Candidate will be provided with a question paper containing 2 sections containing 5 questions each. 5 questions should be answered taking at least 2 from each section. Each of them carry 20 marks.

Key Points: Questions follow a repetitive pattern. They just revolve around Machiavelli, Locke, Marx, Gandhi, Ambedkar and Tilak. Precise and clear answers will fetch you good score.
