Hi Sir, now I am 14 years old and studying in 8th standard. I am interested to join in NDA. I want the full details about NDA. Now a day Engineering has become a popular but there is no guarantee to get jobs. So my thought is I want to go for Defence Service in my future. So I think that NDA is the best choice for me.

NDA refers to National Defence Academy and as the name suggests it is a defence academy meant for those who manages to qualify NDA entrance examination with an ambition to become a commissioned officer in Indian defence services.

NDA entrance examination is conducted twice every year by UPSC in two stages which includes Written test followed by SSB (Staff Selection Board) interview.

--> Further the minimum education required to apply for the same examination are as below :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognised board. But, in order to join Indian Navy or Indian Air Force wings of NDA, you must have studied Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

Candidates in Std 8th are not eligible to appear for NDA.

You will have to pursue in 12th or after passing 12th will become eligible to appear for the examination.

After qualifying in the examination will become eligible for selection in the defence service.
