I want to become a Navy Officer.I am studying in 12th standard with Science stream in Assam Board. But after completing my 12th, kindly let me know how I can become a Navy Officer? Please help me to know about this asap.

To become an Indian Navy Officer after Class 12th in Science stream, you are required to join NDA (National Defence Academy) by qualifying NDA entrance examination held twice every year by UPSC.

Further, the minimum eligibility criteria required to apply NDA entrance examination are as below :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognised board. But, to join Indian Navy and Indian Airforce, you need to have completed your Class 12th with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

To become Indian Navy Officer, you have to appear and qualify in the NDA examination.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board.

The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years.

Only male candidates are eligible and mandatory to have Mathematics and Physics in 12th to appear for the examination.

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted twice in a year.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board.

Examination is conducted for selection in Indian Army, Air Force, Navy and NA.

The required in std 12th must be Physics and Mathematics as main paper.

Examination is conducted in two stages. Candidates have to qualify both stages for final selection.

In order to become a Naval Officer in your career ahead, you will have to appear for JEE(Main) examination after completion of your 12th board examination and then get admission in B.Tech(Marine Engineering) and then upon completion of your course, you can apply for jobs in various shipping companies, you can also get selected direct from Campus, depends upon your interview.

So, it will be better if you prepare well for your entrance and leave the rest.
