I am 16 1\2 years old and have just completed my 12th. But i have donemy 12th from NIOS board. I want to confirm whether this NIOS board certificate is acceptable in Defense sector or not?

Yes, NIOS certificate is acceptable in Defense sector.

You can apply for GD post in CISF, CRPF, BSF and state government police.

You can apply for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force post through NDA exam.

Since, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is recognized by the central government of India and it is equivalent to regular board schools so you are definitely eligible to get job in Defence sector for sure. For getting job in Defence sector you must appear and qualify in the NDA entrance exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Yes the NIOS certificate is acceptable in Defense sector. It is like CBSE or any other board certificate only. You have to fulfill other criteria to join in Defense sector; the certification is acceptable in Defense sector. The eligibility to join in Indian Army as Soldier is a pass in 10th standard.
