Re: Percentage required in 12th Andhra Pradesh Board exam to become an IPS Officer?
To become an I.P.S Officer you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service Examination. It is conducted by UPSC.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation for upper age limit reserved category. So, you will have to pursue bachelor degree to become eligible to appear for the examination. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

In order to be an IPS officer, the candidate must have minimum educational qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognised University and there is no percentage criteria to appear in Indian civil services examination.

Re: Percentage required in 12th Andhra Pradesh Board exam to become an IPS Officer?
Your marks in class 12th will not have any say in selection as an IPS officer. It is just a basis of studying higher. You need to just have a degree in any stream with pass marks, if you want to appear for IPS officer exam (Civil Services Exam).
UPSC conducts the exam every year and those who have got graduation, can apply for it. Selection is purely based on performance in the written exam and interview. Your marks in class 10th, 12th and degree will not be counted to prepare the merit for selection. |

Minimum educational qualification required to become an IPS Officer is that candidate must have passed Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. Minimum age should be 21 years to apply for IPS recruitment and the upper age limit is 32 years. For OBC, SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is 35 and 37 respectively.

Re: Percentage required in 12th Andhra Pradesh Board exam to become an IPS Officer?
First thing I would like to let you know that for becoming an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer, you are required to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year.
Further for appearing in the same examination, the minimum education required is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Marks or stream of academics at any academic level does not matters as far as the eligibility for the same examination is concerned. So, you need not have to worry about the minimum marks which you need to secure in your class 12th to be eligible for becoming an IPS officer. For more details regarding the same examination, you can log on to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |
