What is the age criteria required for writing 10th standard exam?

My daughters D.O.B is 10.5.2013. She is now studying L.K.G in Matriculation school. For U.K.G we got her admission in CBSE School. They said there will not be any problem in future when she attend her 10th std exam due to age criteria, if the child studies in the same school for continuos 7 years. Is it true or there is any problem in writing the 10th exam. Please help me with the clarification.

The age criteria required for writing 10th standard exams:-

There is no maximum age limit for writing the 10th CBSE board examination.

You should have to be at least 15 + at the time of applying for the exam.

Please make sure that you are eligible to write.

The minimum age required for the candidate to be eligible to appear in 10th standard board examinations is 15 years. Since, your daughter is pursuing LKG being 3 years old, by completion of her 10th standard, she will be 15 years old, so, there will not be any problem for your daughter to appear in 10th standard board examinations.

According to the basic eligibility criteria of the age a candidate must have age between 14 to 16 years when he or she is appearing in 10th board examination.
So, it is better for you to become eligible and then to take admission in class you want.

Age eligibility criteria to appear in 10th class board exams:

As per the eligibility criteria a candidate must have attained the minimum age of 14 and maximum should not exceed 16 years while appearing in 10th board examination of a recognised School.

So please take admission in the first or nursery class according to 10th board examination age.

The minimum age required for writing 10th standard examination will be 15 years. So if one crossed the age when appearing for 10th examination then he/she is eligible to write the examinations. This is the basic eligibility for appearing 10th board examinations. Actually CBSE has not prescribed age of admission for Class 1. Parents may follow the minimum age prescribed by the concerned State Government.

satisfy the requirement of age limits (minimum and maximum) as determined by the State/UT government and applicable to the
place where the school is located.

Minimum age:- 14 year

Maximum age:-16 year.
