Hello, My son date of birth is 21_01_2018 now 3yr 5 month, I am going to admit Lkg for Montessori school, but they said not eligible age to lkg. Plz find my doubt what's the correct age for Lkg

The correct age criteria for admission in LKG:-

The required age limit for getting admission in LKG is given below:-

Age limit for Nursery is 2years 6months to 3years 6months.

Age limit for LKG is 3years 6months to 4years to 6 months.

Age limit for UKG is 4years 6months to 5years 6months.

The correct age criteria for admission in LKG:-

The correct age criteria for admission in LKG in CBSE school is 3 years 6 months.

So according to age you should take the admission.

LKG — kid should completed 3years as on April 2021 For LKG admission of year 2021–2022 educational year. In General, 3.6 to 4.6 years are eligible for LKG. The correct age for LKG in a CBSE school is above 4 years as of June 01 of the academic year.

°°° The age criteria required to join in LKG in CBSE board school is 3 years and 6 months to 4 years and 6 months.
However, this rule is not very strict in the sense that the school administration can relax it to anything between 3 to 4 years however they can relax it to one two three.
So, I would like to suggest you to visit the school and ask them about their protocols so, that they can guide you in that particular direction.

If Montessori School is not allowing you to get admission then I would like to suggest you to approach any other board such as CBSE or ICSE if you are interested otherwise you will have to take admission to your child in Montessori School in next year only.

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), the correct age of the student should be between 3 years 6 months to 4 years 10 months to get admission in LKG.
