What is the marking pattern in followed for class 11th and 12th?

Hi!

Pl. Give me in detail the marking system adopted by cbse for class 11th and 12th. Is there any internal marking by the school ? Is their any year long assessment by the school as is done in class 10th ? Or there is only the final board exam? How many marks remain in hands of the school? Or the board examination is the sole criteria for final assessment ? Are there any grades provided for theory and practical subjects ? Please provide all information .

Normally the rules are same for every school which is affiliated for the higher secondary board examination or 10th standard board examination. Of course there is internal marking in the questions. If all the schools take away their internal marking then students will be in deep trouble. Students hugely depend on these internal marks. Normally 20 marks are kept away for this internal assessment. In the board examination each paper is given on 80 marks. Thus the remaining 20 marks are to be allotted by the school itself. To score high in these internal marks, every student must be regular. They must come to school on the stipulated number of days. Since 20 marks per subject are in the hands of the school, the school might think of refraining from giving the marks to an irregular student. This is same for 10th standard or 12th standard.
The marks are either given through viva on the respective subject or through a practical test on the relative subject or through written test containing 20 marks. So being regular and having deep knowledge in the subject, both will help in this case.

You can always cancel your registratioms and enroll for 11th in your new school.
But that means wasting one year of your precious life.

Better option would be to migrate to a school with personal contacts. They can adjust you.( I have seen people doing that)
Also, if your father serves in the Army or is in a job that calls for frequent transfers, then the company itself helps in getting the job done.

P.S In either of the ways you have no say. It depends upon your parents.
