I am waiting for 10th board exams. How can I join NID after 10th? As I have some interest in drawings and crafts. So, I want to take admission at NID. Please tell me the procedure for joining NID?

In order to join National Institute of Design you should have completed 12th standard with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. You have to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the institute itself followed by personal interview. As you have have completed just 10th standard, so you are not eligible to join National Institute of Design.

In order to join National Institute of Design, you must first meet the required eligibility criteria. The basic educational qualification required for pursuing in NID is 12th Class or Higher secondary course.

Some of the major courses like Bachelor of Design, Master of Design..etc., are offered in NID. So the minimum educational qualification required for doing this Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course is 12th Class or Higher secondary course from a recognized board/ institute. The maximum age must not exceed more than 20 years in order to be eligible.

For this you are required to appear in Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Examination. Once you secure merit marks in this examination, I am sure you will get admission to pursue in NID.
