Whether a 12th student can get a domicile of Punjab being a citizen of Gujarat?
Dear Sir, my son studied till 7th standard in Gujarat. We are the permanent residents of Gujarat. But we are now in Punjab. He is studying in 12th standard right now. So, will he get the domicile of Punjab or not?

No, he will not get domicile certificate of Panjab now.
To be eligible for domicile certificate candidate must be resident of Panjab for minimum 5 years. Minimum age to get domicile certificate is 18 years. |

••• Only candidates who have passed both their class 10th and class 12th exams from schools affiliated to Punjab board or CBSE or ICSE schools located in Punjab are eligible to apply as Punjab domicile for the 85% quota seats.
Hence, you are not eligible. |
