Whether the age of my son is in correct group?

My son's DOB is 21-Dec-2011. He is in 4th std(for session 2021-22). Is he in correct class or he is behind than his age group children?

Being around 10 years old and studying in Class 4th, your son is in correct class as per his age as his age will be around 16 years when he will appear in his Class 10th and in general at the time of Class 10th board examination candidates age is around 14 years to 16 years. So, you do not have to worry much about your son's class as per his age.

Whether the age of my son is in correct group?

As per CBSE norms, the minimum age for admission in class 1st is 5 years on and before 31 March of the respective year. As told by you, your son was born on 11 June 2016, so he attained the age of 5 years after 31 March 2021.
So, for class 4th standard students, the age should be 9 or above years old.

According to CBSE Board , 4th standard student should be of 8.5 yrs or 9.
As your son is of 10 yrs according to its date of birth, he should be in 5th standard.
For getting admission in 5th standard, the student must have attained the age of 10 yrs .
