How can I prepare for IELTS exam? I am studying B.Tech 2nd year


i am studying b.tech 2nd year.i am planning to prepare for ielts exam from 3rd year.is it necessary to write gre to attempt ielts?i want answer in detail.

iam b.tech 3-2sem,so when i need to appear ielts exam and when i need to start process to go abroad.please give me full details about abroad destinations and also which country is better to do ms in electricals and electronics?
