I am studying B.A. in Urdu from Calcutta University.
I would like to know that I am eligible for
applying in WBCS exam?

Yes, you are eligible for WBCS exam because you have completed BA in Urdu.

WBCS stands for West Bengal Civil Service exam. This exam is conducted by Public Service Commission.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for WBCS exam. There is no marks criteria. Final year student are eligible for WBCS exam.

You must speak, read, write in Bengali language.

Age criteria:

For General: 21 to 32 years
For OBC: 21 to 35 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 37 years

The WBCS selection process is consist in three way-

1)Preliminary exam(This Exam is based on Objective type Question Paper)
2)Main exam (This Exam is subjective type)
3)Inter view.

Dear actually WBCS refers to West Bengal Civil Service Examination and the eligibility crieteria for WBCS is given as follows.

Eligibility Criteria for WBCS Examination :

1.You must be a Citizen of India.

2.You should complete the graduation in any stream from the recognized university.

3.But you should be proficiency in Bengal Language ( Read,Speak and Write ).

4.The Age should be in between 21 to 32 years. There is a Age relaxation according to the government rules.
