CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is an all India entrance examination which is conducted by 16 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B. & LL.M.). Eligibility criteria required to appear in CLAT examination is mentioned below :-

For Admission to U.G. (LLB) Programme :-
--> You should have obtained Higher Secondary School/ Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate with not less than an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST) marks from a recognized Board.

--> You should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of examination. In case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability candidates, they should be below 22 years of age.

For Admission to P.G. (LLM) Programme :-
--> You should have obtained an LL.B./a five year integrated LL.B./any other equivalent degree in Law with not less than an aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) marks from a recognized University.

--> There is no upper age limit specified by universities to be eligible to apply for P.G programmes.

So, if you apply for admission to P.G programme, then, Graduation is required and for admission to U.G. programme, Graduation is not required.

Yes, you can definitely pursue LLB degree course and appear in the CLAT to get admission for LLB course. Since you will be applying for LLB course so there is no requirement of graduation degree as it is an undergraduate course. However, you need to have at least 45 percentage in your 12 th standard in order to be eligible for CLAT. Apart from this your age should not be more than 20 years.

No, if you want to appear in the CLAT for the BA-LLB (UG) course, then you don't have to posses the graduation.

BA-LLB through CLAT is itself a graduation course.

You just need to have passed 12th from a recognized board and should have attained an age of 17 years at least at the time of admission.
