** Sorry to inform you that you can not get lateral entry admission in National Insitute of Technology in the second year.

** NIT and Indian Institute of Technology does not support lateral entry. Therefore you can not get lateral entry in NIT.

** So my suggestion to you is that you can take admission in other college of India which offer lateral entry for diploma students.

LATERAL ENTRY COLLEGE

1. KIITS University,Orrissa.
2. Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology,Delhi.
3. Punjab Technical University,Jallandhar.
4. Punjab University,Chandigarh.
5. Guru Gobind Singh IP University,Delhi.

There is no lateral entry in NITs. Candidate can only get admission in 1st year of graduation course. There is no lateral entry for diploma holders in NITs.
Candidate can only get admission in 1st year by scoring good rank in JEE-Main exam.

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology. It is one of the most reputed Universities in India after IITs.

Students can take admission in regular engineering stream direct in 2nd year of B.Tech as a lateral entry student. But I am sorry to say that, NIT does not provide any kind of lateral entry process for diploma students. So, students cannot take admission in NIT though lateral entry. The only process is through AIEEE for the admission in NIT.

NITs doesn't have any lateral entry admission procedure and you have to look for other colleges which have seats for lateral entry students. IITs and NITs offer admission only in first year through JEE Main and Advanced.

For admission in colleges with lateral entry seats you have to appear for exams like LEET, JELET etc.

No Lateral entry admission is offered in NIT for Diploma holders. Admissions in NIT are done only to first year of Graduate course and no lateral entry admission is offered. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board and those who have appeared and qualified JEE Main examination are eligible to get admission in NIT. Being a Diploma holder, you cannot get admission in NIT.

I am sorry to say that NITs do not entertain admission to canddates on the basis of Lateral Entry Examination.

Therefore, if you really wish to get admission in NITs, you should probably score well in your JEE(Main) examination.

NIT (National Institute of Technology) does not offers admission through lateral entry. You can take admission through lateral entry after Diploma but not in NIT, but in any other college, which provides admission through lateral entry.

Many colleges offers admission through lateral entry you can apply in these colleges. You need to qualify the exam of LEET, through which you can get admission through lateral entry.

I am sorry that you cannot join NIT for graduation through lateral entry after doing Diploma course.

Not only in NIT even in IIT you are not eligible to do your graduation course after completing your diploma.

The main reason for this is candidate who want to join NIT/IIT must have completed his/her 12th standard or it's equivalent with Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry as main subjects.

As Diploma course will not include all these subjects you are not eligible to join NIT/IIT.

Once again i am sorry for that but you have a chance to join Universities like.

BITSPILANI,
Lovely Professional University,
Delhi University etc,..

Like these popular universities or you can join some popular universities/colleges in your state through a test conducted by your state education board for lateral entry students.
