Is is possible to prepare for GATE exam in CS stream after Bachelors in Electronics and worked in software firm for 1.6 years?


Hi,
My name is Waseem, currently working in a software firm from past 1.6 years. I had done my Bachelors in Electronics and right now looking for an opportunity to do masters through Gate. I want to prepare for Gate in CS stream. Is it possible for a candidate, who has completed his/hers bachelor degree in electronics to take Gate exam in Computer Science stream? Please let me know if any concerns.

You can apply for GATE CSE stream even on the basis of B.Tech Electronics stream. No need to show experience of software field for it. Merely, performing for CSE stream in GATE will help you to get admission in M.Tech CSE. Just make sure that you have B.Tech not B.Sc in Electronics.
