My daughter birth date is 29th July 2008 and she completed 3rd standard in metric in the year of 2015 - 2016.But now we want get 4th standard admission in cbse board for the academic year of 2016 -2017.so , is there any possibility to join above mentioned one ? The age criteria of cbse school in tamilnadu differ from school to school so that we want in detail about age critera regarding admission. By T.ETTI

According to the guidelines of CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education), a student must have attained at least the age of 14 and should not exceed the age of 16 years while giving exam of 10th standard at 31st march of that year.
Since your daughter was born in 29th july 2008. She is eligible to get admission in 4th standard from any CBSE school.

The age limit required to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE school is 8 years 6 months.

Since, your daughter is 8 years old, as per CBSE age criteria, she is not eligible to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE board school.

Any child getting admission in 4th standard should be of a minimum of 9 years of old so that by the time he/she reaches 10th standard, they will have attained a minimum age of 15 years which is the minimum age requirement for any candidate in order to be eligible to appear for their 10th board examination.

CBSC is a central board of education and has same age criteria all over the India. Yet there are some variations in the age limit from school to school. The standard age criteria for getting admission in 4th class states that candidate must be at least 8 years old and his/her age must not exceeds 10 years at the time of admission. As per your date of birth you will be less than 8 years old at the time of admission(March-April) for the session 2015-2016. So you will not be eligible for the admission in 4th standard.

I am happy to say you that there will be no problem for your child to get admission in class 4th standard this year. The age criteria to appear in class 10th of CBSE Board is 14-16 years at the time of class 10th admission. According to that your child is eligible to study in 4th standard this year.

The minimum age required to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE school is 8 years 6 months. Since, your daughter is born on 29th July, 2008, she will attain the age of 8 years by July, 2016. So, your daughter is not eligible to get admission for studying 4th standard in CBSE school.

CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Education. CBSE doesn't defined any age limit criteria for class 4th. Mainly CBSE has defined the age limit criteria for class 10th. CBSE has only defined the lower age limit for class 10th.

A student must have minimum 14 years of age when he will be in class 10th. So the minimum age to take admission in class 4th is 8 years. The date of birth of your daughter is July,2008. In 2016 she will attain the age of 8 years. So, she will be eligible for class 4th.
