What is the height requried&how much marks requried in12 for joining in indian army.

Physical Standards required for joining Indian Army
Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions.

Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions.
There is no specification of marks to join Indian Army however minimum matriculation with science and english qualification required
If you had taken Engineering Degree as your Graduation, then you can have

Through UES i.e University Entry Scheme in Army Final and Pre Final year Students can apply for this, if you clear SSB , then you will be treated One Year in IMA. (21 to 24 years)

Through CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Examination. Final year Students can write this. You can opt Air Force , Army or Navy , if you select Army and clears SSB then you will be Entered into IMA directly for One year Training.(21 to 24 years)

Through SSC or TGC i.e Short Service Commission and Technical Graduate Scheme. Final year Technical Graduate can apply for both the Entries and Procedure is same as Above i.e One year IMA if selected in SSB (Service Selection Board.) (21 to 25 years.)

physical status: a candidate should be have a good fitness and
heigh: 157 cm
eye sight : 6/6
weight ; 50 kg min.
chest : 75 without breath and 80cm after breathing
every year NDA exam conduct for 12th passed and 10+2 pursuing student with physics,chemistry, and mathematics
no percentage restriction for candidate
after a clear nda exam you directly join indian army as a officer with permanent comission.

eyesight - 6/6
there is no percentage restriction
you just have to clear the nda entrance test and directly join the indian army as an officer

Required Height and required marks in 12th to join Indian Army?

For Joining Indian Army, you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria :

Percentage criteria is not mentioned any where but you need to clear all the eligibility criteria .

Educational qualification :
10+2/Intermediate exam pass in any stream(Arts,Commerce and Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.Should have studied and passed English and maths/Accts/Book keeping in class 10 or 10+2 with 40% marks in each subject.

To join in indian army you need to apply NDA(National Defence Academy) exam this exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year i.e NDA-I, NDA-II.



Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete 12th standard from recognised state board.

Candidate should be a citizen of india.

Candidate should be physically fit.

Age limits is 16.5 years to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

Selection procedure:

Written test,

SSB interview,

Medical test.
