Hii , i am into my 4rth year. And m really really confused right now. I have a few questions in my mind. I would really appreciate if someone answers it.
a) Is GATE the only exam for Mtech ? If No, then please give me the necessary details.
b) What are the carrier opportunities after doing Mtech ?
c) Do companies hire u on the basis of your Gate Score ?
d) What are the other colleges that give you admission on the basis of the Gate Score ?

You can take admission in M.Tech only by having a valid GATE score.And after doing M.tech you are having a lot of opportunities:
1)You can do PHD can can enter in research field if interested.
2)You can be hired by a very good company and they also provide a good pay scale to M.Tech students in comparison to B.tech students.
3)You can also apply for lecturership in a good college if you are having a veryu good acedamic record and pay scale for that is also very good.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master's degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master's degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships.

Companies do not consider your GATE score on recruitment. But colleges take into account your GATE score for admissions in M.Tech. It is analogous to AIEEE or IIT_JEE.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

The GATE exam takes place every year for admission into the best colleges for M.Tech like IISc, IITs, NITs, BITS, and many more….Candidates who wish to apply for job as an engineer in Public sector companies like BHEL, NTPC, INDIAN OIL, and POWERGRID will be required to take the GATE-2012. The score obtained in GATE-2012 will be utilized by above companies for inviting candidates for a personal interview for consideration for the position of Engineer Trainees.

After Bsc in biology you may go for following studies.

PG diploma in clinical research
PG diploma in lab technology
PG diploma in Physiotherapy
PG diploma in Biotechnology

you may have the Non-Technical career option like MBA or MCA or BIOMETRIC course.

i have scored 26 in gate 2012.can i be eligible for m.tech in a good college.

i got 18.67 in GATE 2012(INSTRUMENTATION) as OBC candidate
while qualifying marks are 22.5
can i get admission in M Tech(Biomedical Engg) on the basis of this score?

i got 39 marks in gate exam 2012.can i get admission in any good govt. college?

by giving entrance exm of the respective college, we also get the admission in mtec or me irrespective of our gate score if its invalid

If i do mtech in distance(3 yrs) then shall i will be preferred as the general course of mtech??

yes, GATE is the only exam for M.Tech in India
Also these days PSU do hire you on the basis of your GATE score.
After M.tech you can go for PhD. Lecture ship, R n D or Job

i got 19.99 in GATE 2014 (agri engg) while qualifying mark was 25. can i get admission in m tech?
