Admission Process for M.Tech (Civil Engineering) Part Time Courses offered in IIT, Delhi

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers M. Tech degree in Civil Engineering in various specializations. The course is offered in subjects such as Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Marine Geotechnology and Surveying & Remote Sensing. All the courses are offered on part time as well full time basis. Admission is carried out on the basis of GATE exam as well as marks obtained in qualifying exam. Candidates who have work experience of 2 years are eligible to apply for part time admission. Those who have secured 900 marks in GATE exam and 75 % marks in graduation will be given direct admission. Candidates who have first class marks in graduation and GATE score of 720 will have to clear the written test conducted by the Institute for admission.

Admission Procedure for Part Time Courses

Those who have completed Bachelor of Technology in respective subjects from a recognized University can apply for part time post graduation programmes offered by IIT Delhi. Candidates who seek admission for part time courses are required to have professional experience for a minimum of 2 years.

Admission to the courses is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in qualification exam as well as in GATE exam. For direct admission the candidates should have obtained GATE score of 900 and a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in qualifying degree. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged, the minimum marks required in GATE and qualifying exam are 720 and 70% respectively.

Those who have qualified GATE exam with a score of 600 and secured at least first class marks in graduation will have to clear the written test conducted by the Institute. Those who belong to Other Backward Class are required to score 540 marks in GATE and 60% marks in graduation so as to be eligible to appear for this written exam. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST and Physically Challenged should have at least 360 marks in GATE exam and 55% marks in B.Tech to be eligible to apply for this exam.

    I have completed my B.Tech by correspondence in year 2009 (Rajasthan Vidypeeth deemed university),and have work experience of 18 years. I not participated in GATE.
    1)Am I eligible for the admission in PART TIME course of MASTER IN TECHNOLOGY IN BUILDING TECHNOLOGY AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT.
    2)If yes then from when the forms will be available.
    3)For the admission in the course will there be written exam or an interview.
