industrial chemistry deals with polymers,Metallurgical Operations , Physicochemical principles , Extraction of metals , Industrially important Inorganic materials or mainly we can say aspects of inorganic chemistry. Applied Chemistry is a course offered by the Chemistry Department. It trains chemists. A chemist has skills in re-arranging atoms to form new molecules (chemical synthesis). In Applied Chemistry, perspective is new molecules have to be useful, and have to be prepared in larger volumes if they are to be an industrial product. in this exposure is given to certain engineering problems related to the scale-up of a synthesis from the lab bench to the production plant. all the best.........go ahead

A student from applied chemistry branch can enter in to research and development, production in the chemical process industries, pharmaceuticals, agro-chemicals, biotechnology, environmental control, water, renewable energy and materials etc. Another option is to pursue a career in research or teaching.
Industrial chemistry students career paths of quality control, quality assurance and analytical method development. The most exiting jobs right now in the industry is the nanotechnology. These companies often have many engineers who know little about chemistry and need the insight of a chemist, especially a generalist.
The career options in chemistry are endless, even though job and career are depended up on education qualification of the candidate. A degree in chemistry is not necessary to develop a fruitful career in chemistry. A Post graduate degree in chemistry on the other hand hs lot of potential and opens up far more options. A Ph.D. or M.D will open up all possible fields in chemistry. a qualified person can find excellent jobs in Ethno botany, Environmental Law, Patent Law, Technical Writing, Pharmaceuticals, Oceanography, Software Design, Space Exploration, Government Policy, Forensic Science, Biotechnology, Metallurgy, Ceramics Industry, Plastics Industry, Paper Industry, Medicine, Teaching and many more.
